The Comanche Indians baseball team hosted the Brady Bulldogs in their first home game for district play. They dominated the Bulldogs winning 9-2 and advancing their district record to (3-0).

Dillian Bill started and finished the game pitching for the Indians and was awarded the win. He struck out four batters, walked three, allowed five hits, and only two runs. Bill held his composure while runners were on base and easily pitched his way out of multiple rough spots. Brady only had two less hits than the Indians, but with Bill’s calm, collective attitude Brady was only able to score two of their base runners.

The Comanche hitters combined for seven hits, six RBI’s, three walks, six singles, and one double.

Senior Ethan Wilson had two hits out of four at-bats, with two singles, two runs, and one RBI.

“We were continuously scoring throughout the game,” Wilson said. “We had some chances, but we finally busted it wide open in the fifth inning with four runs. We had a couple of errors, but overall we did fairly well defensively as well. I’m ready to see what the rest of the season holds.”

The individual hitting stats for the Indians were:

Ty McCullough- 0-4, Run

Trent Strickland- 0-2, 2 BB, 2 Runs

Ethan Wilson- 2-4, 2 singles, 2 Runs, 1 RBI

Michael Constancia- 1-3, single, run, RBI

Joe Gilligan- 1-4, single, RBI

Dillian Bill- 0-3, RBI, BB

Collin Davis- 2-2, 2 singles, Run

Casey Beaty- 0-2, BB

Grayland Jackson- 1-2 2 RBI, Double

The Indians travel to Coleman to face the Bluecats on Friday, 30.
