Patricia Freeman is the new English I teacher. She is also the wife of Coach and economics teacher Mark Freeman.

Q&A with Mrs. Freeman:

1. Where did you teach before Comanche?

“I’ve stayed home with my kiddos for the last eight years.  Before that, I taught in the Houston area at First Baptist Academy Houston and Barbers Hill ISD.  I have 10 years of experience and have taught all levels from sixth to twelfth grade.”

2. How are you liking Comanche so far?

“We are loving Comanche. I grew up coming to Gustine during the summers to visit my ‘country’ cousins.  I always knew I belonged out west.  My students are amazing; I love freshmen!”

3. Why did you become an English teacher?

“I had an awesome English teacher my junior year in high school.  Her name is Kay Noshari.  She inspired many in my class to become English teachers. Her class was interesting, fun and difficult at the same time.”

4. What are your hobbies and personal interests?

“I love to garden and travel.  We go to Colorado every winter and to the Frio river every summer.  This most recent summer we went to the Caribbean and had a once in a lifetime experience on an eco tour.  We hiked, kayaked and snorkeled in a remote part of St. John.  It was very challenging physically, but I made it. “
