It’s been a busy time for the cross country team. They have been gearing up for the upcoming district contest by attending several different practice meets, including ones at San Saba, Eula, and Hico.

“I am proud of the hard work these runners have put in,” Coach Aven Talley said. “We are seeing improvements every week because of it. Our times have gotten better every week and I am excited to see where we stand at district in a few weeks.”

The district meet is to set to be held in Dublin on October 9, and Talley is expecting good results.

“We have two returning regional qualifiers, Gracy Schulte and Marco Ramirez,” Talley said. “We also have a good group of freshmen that have stepped up and helped as well.”
