The CHS art classes have recently received a major improvement in their available resources: brand new, digital art drawing tablets. The devices, which are specifically Wacom Intuos tablets, simply connect to a computer and allow students to draw art digitally on the PC.
“I’m very excited by these tablets,” senior Sarah Turner said. “They’re like the best Christmas present I’ve never received.”
The tablets are planned to be used for various projects this year, including comic strips and the cover of the yearbook.
“We are very excited about these, especially for the yearbook,” art teacher Meredith Jones said. “Last year we had to draw, color, and scan everything to be used for the yearbook individually. These tablets will save us at least 50% of production time this year, as you can just directly draw onto the computer.”
