The Comanche Ag Mechanics team recently traveled to the State Fair in Fort Worth to compete in an Ag Mechanics Show.

The team consisting of Jaret Pate, Jose Resendiz, and Chris Newport earned second place in their division and were awarded an arc welder for a flatbed that they have been building for several months.

“I’m really pleased with how we did and enjoyed the trip,”  Resendiz said.

Each team member contributed to the project by working over 250 hours not only during welding class, but on weekends and during their free time after school.  T

“I had to miss a football game to work on the flatbed and spent my time up here until midnight several nights,” Resendiz said.

The team is currently working on a hydraulic flatbed, 18 foot flatbed, and bumper to present at Houston, Fort Worth, and Blinn College contests in the future.
