The junior class will hold its annual prom on April 6 in the commons. The theme for this years’ event is “A Bright Night Downtown.”

“The juniors voted earlier in the year on a rave theme,” junior class President Vicki Lopez said. “The officers are working hard to make this year’s prom fun and memorable”.

Officers plan to provide a cool, yet classy look while incorporating neon lights and bright colors.

“We plan to provide a photo booth with props which will allow for great memories for those attending, a DJ as entertainment, and glow sticks as one of our souvenirs,” Lopez said.

Prom tickets will be available for purchase in March and will cost $15 each.

“Prom expenses can become very costly,” junior sponsor and prom coordinator Lisa Sierra said. “As a fundraiser, the junior class will be providing a stew supper and a cake auction on Feb. 1 in the high school commons during varsity basketball games.”

The stew supper will cost $6 per bowl and will include a dessert and cornbread.  Delicious homemade cakes will be auctioned during the halftimes of both the varsity boys’ and girls’ games.
