Skills USA Team Finds Success at District 10 Meet

The Skills USA Team has recently attended the Skills USA Texas District 10 meet.
At the meet, sophomore Randy Licea was chosen as a 2019-2020 Skills USA Texas District 10 Officer Elect.
“It was a really fun experience,” Licea said. “I’m going to try to sharpen my leadership skills even more for the next year, and will try to lead my district into being the very best it can be.”
Freshman Elian Olvera competed in Automotive Service Technology and won a spot on the 2019/20 Skills USA Texas officer team.
Senior Chris Newport was chosen as an Outgoing Officer, was a first place winner in Job Skills Demo, and placed third in Diesel Equipment Technology.
“It was a very good learning experience,” Newport said. “I worked really hard, and I’m glad I was able to do so good during my senior year.”
The meet featured the largest attendance for District 10 ever, with over 1250 students competing.
