The Indians recently took a 2-7 road loss to Coleman.

Junior Harvey Constancia started on the mound for the Indians. He pitched a total of 3.2 innings allowing seven runs, three walks, and had three strikeouts.

“Our lack of effort and a two out jam cost us the game,” Constancia said.

Sophomore Taelon Sorells pitched as relief for 1.2 innings. He allowed two hits, no walks, and had two strikeouts.

Senior Trendon Morin led the offense by going for 1- for 2 with a triple, RBI, and walk.

Other notable stats:

Luke Wilson- 2- for 2, 2 BB, run; Alex Davalos- 1- for 2, 1 BB; Trent Odom- 1- for 2, run; RJ Pepper- 1- for 3; Jacob Constancia- 1- for 3

The Indians traveled to Eastland on Friday Mar. 22 and shutdown the Mavericks for an 8-3 win.

Morin pitched for 6.2 innings and was pulled after reaching pitch count. He allowed five hits, three runs, two walks, and had nine strikeouts.

Sophomore Trent Odom closed for Morin and walked one and struck out one to end the game.

“Trendon did a great job pitching and set me up to close for him,” Odom said.

Wilson went 2- for 4 with two runs and two stolen bases. Freshman Hudson Welch went 1-for 4 with two RBI’s, a run, and a stolen base. Odom went 1- for 3 with a run, RBI, and a stolen base.
