“I’m really excited about the chance to advance to regionals,” Hagood said. “This is my senior year, and I am hoping to finally compete at the state meet this year.”

The mathematics team consisting of Cristian Mallory, Dev Bhakta, Vianey Rangel, and Zach Foster placed first at district and will also advance to regionals.

“This year we have a good, solid team,” mathematics team coach Heather Cuellar said. “However, we are going to have to step up our game if we want to be competitive at regionals. I am very proud of the work they have put in to make it this far, and hopefully we can do even more in the future.”
