Last weekend the commons was transformed into a blacked-out neon utopia for their 2019 prom.

The chosen theme, “A Bright Night Downtown”, was successfully executed with the help of the junior class students, officers, parents, and sponsors.

Bright colors, black lights, glowsticks, and a large city skyline were a handful of decorations seen throughout the night.

“The junior class officers worked really hard with the parents so the attendees could have a great prom,” junior sponsor Lisa Sierra said. “

Senior Kade Mercer was 2019 prom king.

“I was honored that my peers would vote me King,” Mercer said. “Prom was a lot of fun this year and celebrating it with a crown made it even better”

D’Namee Garcia was also named as prom queen.

“I was really happy to be nominated prom queen by my peers; I was surprised,” Garcia said. “Thank you to all the juniors and sponsors for their hard work to put this event on for the seniors.”

The night was filled with great food and music and plenty of well-dressed students.
