The Indians traveled to Dublin on Friday Nov. 1 to compete in a very close game, losing 16-20.

The Indians competed well against the Lions, but fell short of a win and are now 2-2 in district.

The game started off with a touchdown run by junior Logan Wilkerson. The Lions quickly responded with a touchdown pass of 50 plus yards.

The remainder of the game was a close battle between the two teams.

“I was happy to be able to score the first touchdown of the game,” Wilkerson said. “We didn’t win, but with big failures come big lessons.”

Defensively, the Indians competed well and put pressure on the Dublin’s quarterback. The Indians defense had a total of five sacks throughout the game, which played a major role in keeping the Lions from getting too far ahead in the game.

“Our defense played well, but we allowed too many big plays to happen on the other team, which hurt us big time,” junior Harrison Kolb said.

The Indians will play their last district game at home against the Tolar Rattlers for senior night on Friday, Nov. 8. With a win against Tolar, the Indians will secure third place in district.
