Boys’ team places first at Hideaway golf tournament

The boys’ golf team traveled to Early Invitational Meet at Hideaway Golf Club and earned first place with a score of 316.

Senior Kasey Middleton took first overall with a score of 69, three below par.

“My teammates and I are all working hard to take our group to the next level,” Middleton said. “Personally, I was also glad to earn this win, but I have a lot of work to do. My game wasn’t as sharp as it could be, but it is moving in a good direction.”

Other individual scorers were Bryce Hermesmeyer (76) taking home the bronze medal, Ace Jones (84), Brendon Harris (87), Jaton Pate (90).

On the girls’ team, the top scorers were sophomores Chayse Wilson and Araceli Ramirez with 120 strokes.

“We are improving a lot,” Wilson said. “This season should be good, and I am really confident in my ability.”

Other individual scorers were Kenzey Brawley (122), Emily Hughitt (133), Gabby Arreola (140). The team scored a total of 495.
